The smaller cousin of our 8 Bar and 15 Bar Xylophone! 

This chime bar is similar to a xylophone and is classed as a percussion instrument. It is played by striking the bar with a beater. The bar in the chime block is an idiophone tuned to the pitch of the musical scale.
