This beautifully crafted roller celebrates Australian native nuts, featuring their natural forms and sounds as an invitation for sensory play and learning.

The native nuts are encased within a handcrafted timber cage with two separate compartments. A perforated timber layer between the compartments allows the nuts to move freely as the roller is shaken or rolled, creating a gentle, rain-maker–like sound. When rolled along the ground, the nuts travel over the timber dowels within the cage, producing a completely different rhythm and sound, offering children a rich and engaging sensory experience.

This versatile resource supports children to explore sound, movement, and cause and effect through play. When shaken, it encourages listening and auditory exploration. When rolled, it supports gross motor development, hand–eye coordination, and spatial awareness.
