Crafted from sustainably sourced timber with smooth, child-safe finishes, it encourages open-ended play, sensory exploration, and early scientific inquiry. While real liberty caps are psychoactive and not safe to eat, this wooden version provides a safe way for children to explore fungi diversity, nature awareness, and respect for Country, aligning with the EYLF learning outcomes and the NQF, particularly Quality Area 1: Educational Program and Practice, and acknowledging the ecological knowledge of First Nations Australians.
