Cycle Rickshaw

Rickshaws first appeared in Japan around 1868, during the early years of the Meiji Restoration. They gained widespread use in Singapore by 1929, and within six years, cycle rickshaws outnumbered traditional pulled rickshaws. By 1950, cycle rickshaws could be found across every South and East Asian country. By the late 1980s, an estimated 4 million cycle rickshaws were in operation worldwide.

These rickshaws are the perfect size to accompany our 16cm dolls, offering a wonderful opportunity to enrich and enhance cultural learning experiences.
