Mars Discovery Station

The Mars Discovery Station is a felt small-world play space, measuring approximately 50cm, designed to spark big ideas about little-known worlds.

Children can create their own Mars missions, explore rocky landscapes, set up research stations, send rovers on adventures and imagine what they might discover on the Red Planet. It’s a lovely prompt for storytelling, science conversations, collaborative play and plenty of “I wonder…” moments.

Ideas for play:

• Set up a Mars mission with astronauts, rovers and loose parts.

• Talk about planets, space, habitats and what living on Mars might be like.

• Create stories about an imaginary Mars discovery.

• Build a research base or landing site.

• Work together to plan, problem-solve and navigate a space mission.
