This thoughtfully crafted roller celebrates Australian native nuts, inviting children to explore the natural sounds and movements found within our local landscapes.

The native nuts are encased in a handcrafted timber cage. When rolled along the ground, the nuts travel over the timber dowels, creating a gentle, rhythmic sound. When shaken, the movement of the nuts within the cage produces a completely different sound, offering a rich and engaging sensory experience and a new learning adventure with each interaction.

This versatile resource supports children to explore sound, movement, and cause and effect through play. When shaken, it encourages listening and auditory discovery. When rolled, it supports gross motor development, hand–eye coordination, and spatial awareness.
