Uluru is located in the Northern Territory of Australia, within Kata Tjuta National Park, about 450 kilometers (280 miles) southwest of Alice Springs. It sits in the heart of the Australian Outback, in the Red Centre, which is known for its striking desert landscapes.
Uluru is sacred to the Anangu, the Indigenous custodians of the land. The Anangu have lived in the area for over 30,000 years and consider Uluru a spiritual and cultural symbol. It plays a key role in their Tjukurpa, which refers to the law, creation stories, and the interconnectedness of all things in their worldview.
This playset is inspired by this incredible Australian icon, bringing culture and First Nations history to the classroom.
