Spirit of the Bush Series 2 Quilting Panel
Chern’ee Sutton. Chern’ee is an award winning, modern indigenous artist from the Kalkadoon people around the Mount Isa area in Queensland. “In Kalkadoon country the song of ‘The Spirit of the Bush’ can be heard, it is the thread that binds all things together. It can be heard as a whisper sung across the landscape, it can be heard blowing through the tree’s and it can be seen skipping invisibly across the billabongs and rivers forming little ripples.”

Mother Bee fabric panel
By: Dina Clarke on 8 October 2022This piece of fabric is of a very high standard, and I feel it was great value for money. If you have anyone that can sew this panel and add padding (to highlight the tree, etc.) then it would make a wonderful addition to any room as a wall hanging. you could also use it as a conversation starter to involve children in indigenous cultural areas of learning. This is what I intend to do with it.
