Garry grew up in Sydney’s Eastern suburbs and was raised within the Aboriginal community of La Perouse. He is part of the renowned Timbery family, carrying forward a legacy of creativity and cultural leadership.

Garry’s modern approach to Aboriginal art blends personal journey, experiences, and social commentary, bringing a unique perspective to the King and Queen of the Ocean series. This dress transforms his signature ocean-inspired motifs into wearable art, capturing the movement, color, and energy of the sea while honouring Garry’s cultural heritage.
