King Oyster Mushroom Cluster

This wooden interpretation of king oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus eryngii) is a hands-on, open-ended learning resource designed specifically for use in early childhood environments. Made from sustainably sourced timber and finished with smooth, child-safe surfaces, it is well suited to repeated use in playrooms, outdoor spaces, and learning studios.

Educators can incorporate this resource into loose parts play, home corner and dramatic play, nature tables, sensory invitations, and small world setups. Children may use the mushrooms for role-play cooking experiences, sorting and classifying by size and shape, creating imaginary landscapes, or exploring concepts such as growth, harvesting, and where food comes from.
