Captain Crest is a member of our eco-friendly puppet crew—made from recycled plastic and 100% mischief-ready! These puppets have been given a second chance at life: once bottles, containers, and other bits of plastic, now they’re wiggling, squawking, and flapping their way into storytime. They’re basically superheroes in disguise—saving the planet one giggle at a time while teaching kids that even trash can have a second act.

Inspired by Australian wildlife and Aboriginal storytelling traditions, this cockatoo helps children explore connections to Country, animals, and community stories—while sometimes adding its own cheeky commentary or pretending to be the teacher’s “assistant.”
