Catapults were first invented during the era of the Ancient Greeks and Romans, however it was during the Middle Ages that they came to prominence. Leonardo da Vinci developed a range of innovative war machines that improved upon traditional medieval designs. He designed this catapult in 1485.
This is a working re-creation of Leonardo da Vinci’s catapult and is assembled from pre-cut and pre-drilled wooden pieces. Easy to follow instructions included.

This catapult is adjustable and includes principles of stored energy, ratchets and is a show piece when not in use.
