Caxixi

A variation of a traditional caxixi. The caxixi is a percussion instrument made up of a woven basket and flat bottom filled with seeds. The caxixi, just like similar percussion instruments is played by shaking. Commonly found in Africa and South America, this instrument gives children an opportunity to further their understanding of rhythm, dynamics and expression.  Dimensions vary due to handmade nature.
